PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance, to make a traveller run stably for a long period, to prevent frequent occurrence of end breakage, to suppress occurrence of fluff, and to prolong life of the traveller, by forming a nitride layer on the surface of the traveller by CVD method or by PVD method. CONSTITUTION:The nitride layer 2 such as TiN, ZrN, NbN, TaN, BN, etc. is formed by CVD method or by PVD method on the surface of parts, which are at least brought into contact with a ring, of the traveller 1 for spinning machine consisting of hard steel wire or alloy steel wire. |
