<p>Two types of polyester multifilament yarns A and B are combined into a yarn by simultaneous drawing and hot texturing after doubling with substantially identical angles of intertwisting. Yarn A has an intrinsic viscosity of not 0.48 and the yarn B has an intrinsic viscosity differing by not 0.06. The difference in birefringence of the yarns is >=2 x 10-3 and =6 x 10-3. The textured yarn has a broken filament count of =25 per m, a difference in length of component A from component B of not >12%, and a crimp stretchability of not >10%. The difference in denier of the monofilament in yarns A and B does not exceed 1 Den. The textured yarn has improved fullness, softness and good pilling and frosting resistance. It is also very bulky.</p> |
