PURPOSE:To dehydrate cake down to a substantially low moisture content by making combination use of a water permeable turning belt which can apply stronger squeezing force than filter cloths and applying the specific pressurizing force to the cake for a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:A pair of endless filter cloths 6, 7 between which the cake 13 is held in place are wound on >=3 pieces of rolls 12a, 12b in a manner as to travel along a zigzag route. The above-mentioned belt 14 which squeezes the cake 13 cooperatively with the rolls 12b is brought into contact with the at least the filter cloth 7 on the lower side over the entire width thereof and is wound on plural pieces of the rolls 12b from the outside of the filter cloths 6, 7. The belt 14 is driven by a driving roller 15c of the belt 14 near the down stream side with respect to the rolls 12a, 12b and 2-5kg/cm<2> pressurizing force is applied to the cake 13 between the two cloths 6 and 7 by the effect of said cloths 6, 7, the belt 14 and the rollers 12b. The substantial dehydration effect is obtd. in the adequate pressurizing state by the above-mentioned method. |
