The device transmits torque between driving (11) and driven (12) shafts, having a member (14) inside a coupling body (10) and with an internal coupling face (15) whose centre line (16) differs from that (13) of the driving shaft. On the driven shaft is a first coupling part (17) forming a coupling with the member in the engage position, engagement causing the member to engage with the body. Also on the driven shaft is a second coupling part (18), forming a coupling with the member when the body is in the released position. When the body is in the engaged position, this second part is released from the member.
