PURPOSE:To execute the edition/input processing of sentence data precisely and easily by recognizing the continuity of the vertical and horizontal directions of a ruled line code. CONSTITUTION:Data inputted from an input means 1 such as a keyboard is inputted to a document formation processing part 2 and sentence data is stored in a text code memory 3. Whether a text code in the text code memory 3 which is addressed by cursor registers 410, 420 is a ruled line or not is detected by a ruled line code detecting part 920 and the direction of the ruled line code is extracted by a ruled line code direction extracting part 930. The cursor registers 410, 420 is controlled by a text cursor processing part 940. When the document formation processing part 2 is to store a character, the existence of a ruled line code and its continuity are recognized and the character is stored in an optional area surrounded by the ruled line. |
