PURPOSE:To strikingly prolong the running time until the defrosting becomes necessary by a structure wherein a group of fins consisting in notching both the air inflowing end and air outflowing end of each fin so that the concavity and convexity are arranged alternately in the direction normal to air flow are inserted in a group of pipes in order to locate the concavity and convexity alternately in the direction of the axes of the pipes. CONSTITUTION:Groups of fins 7 and 8 of an air inflowing side heat exchanger are notched in the stage direction in the direction parallel to air flow so as to have concavity 12 and convexity 13 alternately, resulting in corresponding the concavity 12 and convexity 13 on inflowing side to the concavity 12 and convexity 13 on outflowing side. As for a group of fins, the air inflowing sides of the respective fins are arranged in each stage so that the concavity 12 and convexity 13 locate alternately in the direction of the axes of the pipes. In other words, in each stage, both the air inflowing part and the air outflowing part have the configurations consisting in arranging fins long in the direction parallel to the air flow and fins short in said direction alternately in the direction of the axes of the pipes by inserting the fin 7, the fin 8, which is realized by turning the fin 7 upside down, the fin 7 and so on in the order named to the group of pipes 5. Consequently, the interval between fins becomes broader, resulting in enabling to strikingly prolong the running time until the defrosting becomes necessary due to the blocking of gap between fins by frost layer 15. |
