摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain a calibrating method improved at its synthetic accuracy by setting up a reference point on a plane plate, calculating a coordinate value on the basis of the output of a detector when the reference point is touched with a finger, and calculating the difference between the calculated value and a real coordinate value to correct the coordinate value of an optional point. CONSTITUTION:In the position calibrating method for a coordinate input device, strain gauge having similar standard are adhered to points A-D on a plane plate 1 consisting of glass or the like, detectors 2A-2D are connected to respective strain gauges and their outputs are inputted to a computer 3. When an optional point on the plane plate 1 is depressed with a finger F, components of force which are generated in respective points A-D are detected by respective detectors 2A-2D. For instance, a point S1 is selected, a real coordinate value regarding the selected point S1 as a reference point is stored in a data memory position as a fixed parameter and the output of the detector obtained when the point S1 is depressed is inputted to the computer 3 to obtain the calculated coordinate value. The difference between the calculated coordinate value and said real coordinate value is used as a corrected value for the coordinate input to correct the input.</p>
