METHOD FOR ATTACHING SAND CORE TO CASTING MOLD BODY AND CASTING MOLD

PURPOSE:To facilitate an operation for attaching a sand core to a casting mold by fixing the sand core to a sand core attaching plate forming part of a product cavity surface in the stage of mounting said core to the casting mold body then inserting the core into a guide groove and uniting the same to the mold body. CONSTITUTION:The titled casting mold is formed of the mold body 1 and the sand core attaching plate 2 which is provided to face the product cavity 10 and is made freely movable forward and backward in the body 1 along the guide groove 3. The 1st communication hole 9 connecting to the sand core 6 is provided to the plate 2. The 2nd communicating hole 5 is provided to the body 1. The above-described communicating hole 9 is communicated with the outside. The sand core 6 is fixed to the plate 2 prior to mounting of the plate 2 to the body 1 and the plate 2 is inserted along the guide groove 3 and is united to the body 1.
