摘要 PURPOSE:To control easily optical fibers to optimum coupling by opening end parts of optical fibers, which should be coupled to each other, to one end of a lens and turning a mirror, which is provided near the end face of the lens, around the optical axis of the lens while varying the angle of inclination of tnis mirror. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 12 and 13 are provided distances d1 and d2 apart from an axis 11 or a lens 14 respectively. A mirror 17 attached to the end face of the lens 14 is rotated around the axis 11 of the lens 14 while controlling the angle of the mirror 17 to the end face of the lens 14 to phi1, phi2, phi3... and the incident light from the optical fiber 12 is reflected on the mirror 17, and the reflected light is made incident on the aperture part of the optical fiber 13, and the point where the exit light from the fiber 13 is maximum is obtained. Thus, coupling between optical fibers is controlled easily without skill.
