METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING LONG-SIZED SEALING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a long-sized thin sheet body (sealing material) by a method wherein a mixture of fiber and a rubber blend is heated and pressurized into a thin sheet body between a hot roll and a cooling roll and wound on the circumferential surface of the hot roll to be cut and peeled off with a special cutter. CONSTITUTION:Fiber and a rubber blend are supplied between a hot roll 11 and a cooling roll 12 and rolled being heated and pressurized into a thin sheet body A between both the rollers to be wound on the circumferential surface of the hot roll 11. Then, a rotary cutter 32 is pressed against the thin sheet body (A) thus wound rotating the hot roll 11 to be cut off and cut pieces are peeled off to obtain a long-sized thin sheet body (sealing material), which then is taken up with a winder 50.
