PURPOSE:To prevent generation of dimensional error which is liably generated on a hot plate side of a calcined body by placing an uncalcined molded body of starting material powder on a hot plate interposing a dummy consisting of a same material, then, executing calcination and sintering. CONSTITUTION:An uncalcined molded body 12 is prepd. by press molding or injection molding granular inorg. powder as feed material. On the other hand, a dummy D having almost the same shape is prepd. from the same material as the molded body 12. The dummy D is placed on a hot plate (tray) 11 and the uncalcined molded body 12 is placed thereon and the body is calcined and sintered at 500-2,000 deg.C to form the molded glass ceramic body. The uncalcined body shrinks by the heat treatment but the side of the hot plate 11 contacting with the dummy D is prevented from shrinkage by the friction of the hot plate with the dummy. On the other hand, a free end of the dummy causes predetermined shrinkage and deformation. Therefore, the uncalcined molded body 12 placed on the free end of the dummy D causes shrinkage with a fixed proportion over the whole length. Therefore, a sintered body having a predetermined shape and dimension is obtd. |
