PURPOSE:To obtain an optical filter comprising inorg. base materials for green light having superior saturation of color light and contrast, etc. by depositing transparent glass powder contg. CoO, and Al2O3 together with a Cr compd. or Cr2O3 to a glass substrate, and calcining the deposited material. CONSTITUTION:Transparent glass powder containing (A) CoO, and (B) Al2O3 and a Cr compd. and/or Cr2O3 as essential components is prepared. A mixture of the transparent powder with screen oil is coated on a glass substrate, dried and calcined to prepare the target optical filter for green light. When the filter is used in several color display devices, the reflectance of the surface can be reduced without reducing the display luminance. Therefore, the contrast of display picture image can be increased by preventing reflection of ambient light. |
