NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR CLEANING PRINTER BLANKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric for printer blanket excellent in liquid retaining properties and ink scumming/paper powder wiping properties in which breakage does not take place at the time of cleaning and fibers do not drop off. SOLUTION: The nonwoven cloth for printer blanket comprises vegetable cellulose fibers and organic synthetic fibers having mean fiber length of 1.5 mm or above woven three-dimensionally wherein at least a part of the vegetable cellulose fibers and the organic synthetic fibers are thermally bonded or at least a part of the organic synthetic fibers are thermally bonded each other and subjected to corona discharge treatment on one or both sides thereof. Water absorbing rate measured by JIS L1907 dripping method and oil absorbing rate measured by a conforming method using kerosene are 10 sec or less.
