PURPOSE:To prevent dispersion of a bonding agent, by providing an electricity conducting means which conducts electricity to a bar-like bonding agent placed on either one of a pair of core wafers held in a pressing means and melts the bonding agent by the Joule heat. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head manufacturing device is equipped with a pressing means which holds a pair of core wafers 30 and 30 between its upper and lower parts and puts gap forming sections 50 together and pressure-contacts them, and an electricity conducting means which conducts electricity to a bar- like bonding agent placed in a bonding agent placing groove provided in either one of the pair of the core wafers 30 and 30 to be held by the pressing means and melts the bonding agent by the Joule heat. Therefore, the bonding agent is instantaneously melted and adhered to the core wafers and, since the core wafers are kept at a temperature lower than the melting point of the bonding agent, dispersion of the bonding agent over the surface of the core wafers can be prevented completely. |
