PURPOSE:To obtain an electric brake device operable even when a power source is failed by providing a capacitor at the primary side of a varible frequency AC generator, inserting a resistor after the power source is interrupted, and altering the set speed to a low speed to continue controlling the speed. CONSTITUTION:In a device for controlling the speed of an induction motor 2 by a variable frequency AC generator 1, line opening and closing means 3 for connecting a power source, a capacitor 4 connected in parallel with the power source, and a resistor 6 interposed with opening and closing means 5 are provided at the primary power source side of the generator 1. When the motor 2 is braked, the means 3 is first opened to interrupt the power source, the means 5 is then closed to insert the resistor 6 to the primary side of the generator 1, and a speed command signal A of the generator 1 is altered to the low speed to continue the speed control. |
