PURPOSE:To improve the ventilation efficiency of a distributor by forming a plurality of ventilating passages communicating to the inside and outside of the distributor and installing a wind shielding plate on which the air stream in the distributor contacts before passing through the opening port, in the vicinity of the opening port of the ventilating passage to the outside. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 2 revolves in synchronization with an engine, a rotor plate 8 integrally formed with the shaft 2 revolves in the gap 7 between the light emitting and receiving diodes 5 and 6, and a prescribed electric signal is generated in a control circuit 16. Electric discharge occurs from a distributing rotor 11 to a side electrode 13 on te basic of the electric signal, and a spark plug is supplied with electricity. In this case, the air revolved by the distributing rotor 11, etc. is guided by a wind shielding plate 14 formed by bending a part of a shielding cover 17 into L-figure shape and discharged from an opened port part 14a through a ventilating passage 14. Further, the direct flowing-in of the air in the distributor into the opening part 15a of a ventilating passage 15 is prevented by the wind shielding plate 15b formed similarly in the above, and fresh air is inhaled from the opened port part 15a. |
