PURPOSE:To eliminate the ignitability of the titled catalyst and to make the handling easy by depositing 1-15wt% alkali metallic compd. per carrier on the carrier consisting of metallic oxide, metallic salt, carbon compd. or carbon material. CONSTITUTION:The substance deposited with alkali metals is formed by depositing 1-15wt% alkali metal per weight of carrier on the carrier selected from the groups of metalic oxide, metallic salt, carbon compd. and carbon material and it is treated at 25-200 deg.C in dried oxygen-contg. gas to manufacture the stabilization-treated substance deposited with alkali metals. As the carrier, MgO, La2O3, Al2O3, SiO2, ZnO and activated carbon or the like are used. As alkali metals being the catalytic components, Na is generally used. The above-mentioned stabilization-treated substance is an ultrastrong base so that the basic strength is >=35.0 expressed in terms of pKa value and it can be used as a solid strong- base catalyst. |
