<p>PURPOSE:To remove chips from the circumference of a tool, improving the degree of finish on the machined surface, and keep off any damage to the milling cutter as well as to make service life in the cutter prolongable, by spraying a fluid of high pressure and high flow rate to the whole circumference of the milling cutter, in time of milling. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 2 is attached to the whole circumference of a milling head spindle 1, and when a fluid of high pressure and high flow rate is sprayed to a milling cutter 4 from the nozzle 2 so as to make it unhit to a milling chuck 3, the high pressure, high flow fluid takes chips 5 away from and around the milling cutter 4, and absorbs heat of the cutter, strongly cooling it, so that metalcutting conditions are well promoted, and even in case of unmanned operation at night, sharpness in the cutter is maintained and, what is more, keeping off any damage to the cutter and improving finishing accuracy ever so better.</p> |
