PURPOSE:To provide a Co radical amorphous magnetic core having a B-H curve characteristic with considerable asymmetry, by heat-treating the magnetic core made of Co radical amorphous alloy in an oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Co radical amorphous alloy is utilized, which is expressed by a composition expression (Co1-x-y-zFexMnyNiz)190-a-b-cMaSibBc (M is at least one element selected from among a group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Sc, Y, and rare-earth elements). Instead of metalloid such as Si or B, Co radical amorphous alloy of a so-called metal-metal type containing Zr or Hf, etc. may be utilized. If Co radical amorphous alloy containing especially Mn in large quantities is kept at a temperature above the Curie point for over 10min in an oxidizing atmosphere and is then heat-treated at a temperature below the Curie point while applying magnetic field with an intensity of over 0.1Oe, a magnetic core which has a B-H curve shifted considerably from the origin can be produced. |
