摘要 PURPOSE:To perform desulfurization and decomposition of heavy mineral oil stably for a long period by depositin 3-7wt% (expressed in terms of NiO) Ni and 10-20wt% (expressed in terms of MoO3) Mo on an alumina carrier having specified fine narrow pore. CONSTITUTION:An alumina carrier having 0.55-1.0ml/g narrow pore volume, 50-250Angstrom average narrow pore diameter and 3-4P factor is molded whrein 10- 30% all narrow pore volume is occupied by the narrow pore volume of narrow pore having +10-+500Angstrom average narrow pore in the narrow pore distribution. A hydrogen treating catalyst is manufactured by depositing 3-7wt% (expressed in terms of NiO) Ni and 10-20wt% (expressed in terms of MoO3) Mo as the catalyst component on the alumina carrier. The catalyst is brought into contact with heavy mineral oil under high temp. plus pressurizing and under the existence of hydrogen and the hydrodesulfurization and hydrocracking are performed by allowing both the reaction to proceed simultaneously.
