PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power interrupting device for emergency with high precision and reliability, whose ball body falls from its seat at a prescribed seismic intensity regardless of its fitting directions or the generating position (generating direction) of an earthquake or the like, which can automatically interrupt power supply due to a strong earthquake of a prescribed seismic intensity or higher, prevent secondary disaster or the like exactly, reduce damage due to the earthquake, release (reset) the interrupting condition of the power supply exactly and promptly with a simple operation, ensure dust-proof and drip-proof effects, and can attain simplicity of a structure, easy handling, high durability, and relatively-low cost. SOLUTION: This power interrupting device for emergency is constituted by mounting a ball body 4 on the seat 3 of a tubular body 2, permitting a reset cup 5 sliding freely in a tubular central direction with the tubular body 2 enclosed to be pushed above the tubular body 2 by a reset lever 10, so that a switch 16 may turn ON through a sliding body 15 when the ball body 4 is on the seat 3, the switch may turn OFF if it is not, and when a reset cup 5 bottom inclining so that its central side may be lower than its outer periphery is beyond the upper edge of the tubular body 2, the ball body 4 may be accommodated automatically in the seat 3 of the tubular body 2. |
