<p>PURPOSE:To make maintenance and inspection for a conveyor ever so easy as well as to aim at economization in operating cost and cutting oil consumption, by making chips drop down freely together with cutting oil with a tilted, troughlike chip guide groove, while discharging these chips in a natural utilizing flowing force of the cutting oil. CONSTITUTION:Chips 4 and cutting oil 6 dropped down from in and around each top of a tool rest 2 and a pallet 5 of a machine tool 1 are made to drop in a chip collecting vessel 8 in a slide system manner along a troughlike guide groove 13 having an incline 12 provided with an apex between the machine body and the pallet 5 side via a receiving pan 10, and filter-form meshes are installed on a bottom surface of the chip collecting vessel 8, leading the cutting oil into a tank 7, and in addition the cutting oil 6 in the tank 7 is pumped up with a pump 14, then the oil is redischarged in and around the tool rest 2 again. Thus, with such a chip discharging device as being excellent in reliability despite a simple structure, operating cost and cutting oil consumption are sharply economizable and, what is more, the prolongation of continuous, unmanned operating time is thus made attainable.</p> |
