PURPOSE:To detect selectively a side wind which blows against a running vehicle by fitting ultrasonic wave transmitter and receivers opposite each other in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave transmitter 4 and an ultrasonic wave receiver 5 are fitted to the fender part of the body of an automobile at the left side, and an ultrasonic wave receiver 6 and an ultrasonic wave transmitter 7 are fitted at the right side. Further, a transmission and reception controller 8 is provided with a transmitting circuit 9 and a receiving circuit 10, which constitutes a detector which detects a difference between the time from the transmission to the reception of an ultrasonic wave sent from the transmitters 4 and 7 and received by receivers 6 and 5, and a reference time. Then, vehicle height adjusting mechanism 11 adjusts suspension mechanism provided between axles and the car body according to the output of the receiving circuit 10. |
