Stuffing box with membrane for elongate elements 11, especially cables, pipes or rods, comprising a tubular body 1 whose tapped end 2 receives a threaded cap 3 locking an annular sealing gasket against an internal shoulder 5 of the body, and whose other end 6 comprises means for secure fastening to one wall, this stuffing box being characterised in that the sealing gasket is composed of a thin elastic membrane 4 made from a tear-resistant material, having a reinforced annular peripheral edge 7 facing the shoulder 5 of the body 1, and pierced by at least one aperture 8, 9, 10 of smaller dimensions but at least roughly homothetic with that of the elongate element 11. <IMAGE>
