PURPOSE:To cool uniformly the entire surfaces of works at a desired cooling rate by stirring a salt by a stirrer so as to generate turbulence therein. CONSTITUTION:A basket 5 contg. the works 4 is suspended by a hanger, is immersed in the salt 13 and is imposed on a rotary table 6 in a salt bath 2. A driving device 12 is rotated via bevel gears 14, 15 and a revolving shaft 11 when a driving source 9 is operated. A driven wheel 7 meshed with said shaft is fixed to the table 6 and therefore the works 4 contained in the basket 5 are simultaneously rotated. Rollers 6 are attached below the table 8 and roll on the cam surface 1 of a base 3. The surface has up and down cycles of the same number as the number of the rollers 6 and therefore the table 6, the basket 5 and the works 4 move vertically simultaneously by as much as the difference in the height of the cam surface 1. The turbulence is thus generated in the salt 13 and the works 4 are uniformly and quickly cooled. |
