PURPOSE:To prevent pulse noise in sound from being generated by generating continuously a new horizontal synchronizing signal even during the vertical blanking period in synchronizing with the horizontal synchronizing signal of a reproduced video signal so as to prevent sudden change in a phase error voltage. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency reproducing signal extracted from a pickup circuit 6 is fed to a demodulation circuit 7, where a video signal is demodulated. The demodulated video signal is fed to a synchronizing separation circuit 9, from which a composite synchronizing signal (a) is separated. The composite synchronizing signal (a) is fed to a PLL13 and a horizontal synchronizing signal (b) in synchronizing with the composite synchronizing signal is extracted from a voltage controlled oscillator 11 of the PLL13. The horizontal synchronizing signal (b) is compared with a horizontal synchronizing signal (c) being an accurate reference signal not including jitter and a phase error signal in response to the direction and quality of the jitter included in the horizontal synchronizing signal (b) is generated. |
