PURPOSE:To adjust a gap between a wick and an ignition heater by simple operation by a method wherein an engagement piece, formed on a main body, is engaged swinglably about a horizontal shaft with respect ot the outer tube of the wick and an adjusting screw rod, swinging the main body about the horizontal shaft to adjust said gap, is provided in the device. CONSTITUTION:When the gap D between the widk C under elevated condition and the ignition heater 1 is to be enlarged, the adjusting screw rod 8 is turned to a direction to clamp it to push to upper surface of a porcelain socket 12b by the lower surface of the heas 8a thereof against a compression spring 10. Then, a socket case 11 and the main body 3 of ignition device are awing integrally to the direction separating from the wirk C about the horizontal axis consisting of a contacting point between the engagement piece 7 and the mounting hole 6 of the wick outer tube 4 and whereby the gap D is enlarged. On the contrary, in case the gap D is to be reduced, the adjusting screw rod 8 is turned to the direction to release it. According to this method, adjustment of the gap between the wick and the ignition heater may be effected by simple opertion. |
