AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION DEVICE FOR LINING STUD

PURPOSE:To install quickly, exaxtly and automatically studs over the entire inside peripheral surface of the single ring of a cylindrical body by attaching an operating device for descaling and installing studs to a traveling device. CONSTITUTION:A moving distance detector 21 senses the preliminarily set vertical pitch (b) of studs 3 and stops a device 13 for installing studs. Descaling and installing of the stud are executed in said position and the device 13 is moved by the distance equive. to the vertical pitch (b) after the completion of such operation and is then stopped. A descaling device 23 and a stud welding machine 24 operate while said devices are held stopped. The inside surface of the cylindrical body is descaled in th small range A and the stud 3 is installed to the point B apart by a horizontal pitch (a). The descaling and stud welding in the vertical direction are completed when the contact with a stopper attached to a rail 12 is sensed by a stopper sensor 22. The traveling device 11 moves by the distance (a) upon completion and is stopped by a traveling distance detector 15. The operation similar to the above-described operation is thereupon repeated and the operation for installing the stud 3 to the inside surface of the single ring of the cylindrical body is similarly carried out.
