FIELD: drilling and operation of wells. SUBSTANCE: according to method, electric heater is secured on logging cable above thermometer and cable is lowered into well down to bottom-hole. Heater supply current is switched on, and heater together with thermometer is lifted. This is accompanied with heating of well hole. Undertaken is continuous recording of temperature along well hole by means of thermometer. Thermal characteristics of rock matter are determined by value of temperature deviations. Application of aforesaid method gives higher accuracy in investigation of wells. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl
