PURPOSE:To obtain the multifunctional copying machine which has both functions of copying by the exposure of an original image and of copying by exposure using laser light by providing a laser scanning means which scans the laser light on the photosensitive body of a normal copying machine frame and exposes the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine frame 1 takes a copy by forming an image of an original 30 on an original platen 29 on the photosensitive body 20, and a laser scanning unit 2 which guides laser light 4 generated by a laser scanning means 10 to the photosensitive body 20 from a laser passing hole 7 through reflecting mirrors 5 and 6 is fitted to the copying machine frame attachably and detachably with a screw 9. When exposure is started by the laser scanning means 10 during the exposure process in which the image of the original 30 is formed on the photosensitive body 20 by turning on an exposure lamp 27 to perform exposure corresponding to the image of the original, the exposure of the photosensitive body 20 to the original image and the exposure using the laser light are both carried out, and this machine takes a normal copy by stopping the exposure by the laser light or serves as a laser printer with the exposure lamp 27 off.
