PRODUCTION OF SOLID WIRE FOR WELDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a solid wire for welding making the adjustment of an oxygen content of the wire easy by forge-welding both end edges with rounding a heated strip and by performing a wire drawing after making a steel pipe having an oxidation layer on the inner face. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 is charged into a heating furnace and heated uniformly and formed to U shape by a forming roll 4. It is then heated upto the weldable temp. by a welding hone 7 having a burner nozzle. Is welded by a forge-welding roll 5, reduced of the diameter by reducing roll group 6 and made to a steel pipe 8. The steel pipe 8 thereof has an oxidation layer on the inner face. The adjustment of the quantity of the oxide thereof is performed with the adjustment of the temp. inside furnace of the heating furnace 3 and the jet quantities of air and oxygen by the welding hone. The steel pipe 8 thereof is then subjected to a wire drawing to the necessary diameter and a solid wire W with the condition of an oxide 9 being concentrated on the center part of the section, is obtd.
