PURPOSE:To cool uniformly the entire surfaces of works at a desired cooling rate in the stage of loading the works into a cooling device for hardening contg. fluid and cooling the works by combining the stirring of said fluid and the vertical reciprocative movement and horizontal turning of the works. CONSTITUTION:A basket 11 into which the works 10 are loaded is suspended from a hanger 9 and a lifter engaged with a lifting hook 2 is lowered to immerse the works 10 into the salt 12 in a salt bath 13. The salt 12 is kept stirred to generate turbulence during this time. A lifting cylinder 4 is immediately actuated to lower a rod 3 when the works 10 are immersed into the salt. A cylindrical member 5 provided with cam grooves 8 is joined to the rod 3 via a bearing 14 and a disk 15. On the other hand, a stationary member 6 provided with projections 7 engaging with the grooves 8 is supended from the hook 2 in proximity to the member 5. The member 5 descending together with the rod 3 descends consequently while turning but the hook 2 is prevented from turning by a stopper 1 fixed thereto. A limit switch 17 is tripped where the member 5 descends to the lowermost end, then the member ascends while turning in the direction opposite from the turning direction during descending. |
