PURPOSE:To enable semiconductor laser to be used and enable information to be recorded, erased and read easily and stably, by a construction wherein at least one of an electron donor and an electron acceptor or at least one of an electron donor, an electron acceptor and a medium substance consists f a substance having such a property that the aggregated state thereof is reversibly changed when being irradiated with light beams. CONSTITUTION:The optical information-recording medium comprises an electron donor and an electron acceptor or comprises an electron donor, an electron acceptor and a medium substance supporting the two component, with at least one of the two or three components consisting of a substance which has such a property that the aggregated condition thereof is reversibly changed when being irradiated with light beams. The reversible change is preferably reversible phase transition between a liquid phase and a solid phase. The medium substance may be a thermoplastic resin, a thermoplastic organic compound, a thermotropic liquid crystal or the like. |
