PURPOSE:To prevent vanishing of data by double writing, realize write protection, and make stable reproduction of data by writing a specified signal doubly in the address section of a sector recorded data of which is to be protected. CONSTITUTION:When recording dsta 12, a directory 6 determines a recordable sector and sends write address 13 being the sector address, to a comparator 7 and an address adding circuit 14. The circuit 14 adds the address 13 to the data 12, and sends out write data 15. Reproduced address 22 obtained from the address section 1 of the sector by a recording and reproducing section 10 is compared with the address 13 by a comparator 7, and when they coincide, a record trigger signal 17 is sent out. Thereby, an encoder 8 makes coding of data 15 for error control, and supplies encoded data 16 to a recording section 2. When recorded data are to be protected, the recording and reproducing section 10 makes double writing in the address section 1 and destructs address data in the address section 1 to make the address section 1 impossible to reproduce. |
