PURPOSE:To execute a diagnostic program fully automatically and to reduce the labor of maintaining operation by executing an initializing program which has the maximum constitution of an information processing system as a table before the diagnostic program is executed. CONSTITUTION:The diagnostic initializing program 7 refers to the constitution table 8 and registers connected peripheral devices 2, 3, and 4 in the constitution table 8 according to device numbers and unit numbers registered in the table 8. When the processing of the whole constitution table 8 is completed, the control is returned to a diagnostic program controller 6. The diagnostic program controller 6 refers to the constitution table 8 and loads a corresponding diagnostic program when there is a peripheral device concerned. The diagnostic program returns the control to the diagnostic program controller after the diagnostic processing of the peripheral device. The diagnostic program controller repeats the processing up to the end of the constitution table. |
