PURPOSE:To obtain copied images having a high grade for a long period without the photofatigue of a photosensitive body by subjecting the photosensitive body to erase exposure by the light of which the wavelength is distributed on the wavelength side longer than the wavelength smaller by about 120nm from the wavelength at the light absorption end of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:An LED array is used as a blank exposing lamp 10 and a preexposing lamp 17 which are eraser lamps. The wavelength components of the light emitted from the LED array are distributed from the wavelength smaller by 120nm from the wavelength 730nm at the light absorption end of the photoconductive layer, i.e., a-Si of the photosensitive body 1 to the long wavelength side, i.e., from 610nm to 730. The eraser lamp provided with a filter to allow the transmission of the above-mentioned wavelength components to a halogen lamp, etc. may be used as well in addition to the above-mentioned eraser lamps. If a copying operation is made with such copying machine, there are substantially no ghost images even after repetitive copying and the sharp copying image having substantially high density is obtd. |
