PURPOSE:To reutilize the hydrogen-contg. gas used as an atmosphere gas in a heat treating stage for metal as a hydrogen-contg. gas by adding gaseous hydrocarbon to said gas and subjecting the gas to a desulfurizing treatment, gasifying treatment, CO conversion treatment and a decarboxylation and dehydrating treatment. CONSTITUTION:The hydrogen-contg. gas used as the atmosphere gas in a heat treating furnace 18 for metal is fed through a line 19, a cushion tank 20, a line 21, a pressure increasing machine 22 and a line 23 to a desulfurizing device 2 where tbe gaseous hydrocarbon supplied from a line 1 is desulfurized. The desulfurized gas obtd. in the device 2 is supplied together with the steam from lines 4, 5 and the air from a line 6 to an external heat type reforming reactor 7 where the gas is subjected to the gasifying treatment. The gas is further treated in a CO converting device 10 and a decarboxylation and dehydrating device 12 and is reused again as the hydrogen-contg. gas in the furnace 18. |
