<p>PURPOSE:To discharge a transported article into a discharge tray even if the surface of the transported article on which images are formed is automatically set upward or downward, by installing a reversal means for guiding the transported article in reversal state into the discharge tray and a variable means for selectively changing the direction of transportation of the above-described transported article. CONSTITUTION:The first transport passage 16 and the second transport passage 17 are selectively opened and closed by a flip lever 18 as variable means, and guide the transported sheet P of paper into a reversal means A or directly into a discharge tray 29. Further, the first transport passage 16 and the second transport passage 17 communicate each other through the third transport passage 19. The sheet P of paper which passes through the first transport passage 16 is discharged onto a discharge tray 29 by a paper discharging roller 20, with the copied surface set upwardly. While, the sheet P of paper which passes through the second transport passage 17 by the flip lever 18 turns a reversal plate 26 by a reversal detecting switch 67, and the rear edge of the sheet of paper is introduced between the rollers 25 and 23, and discharged onto the discharge tray 29 by the discharging roller 20, with the copied surface set downwardly.</p> |
