<p>Pharmaceutical compositions which comprise a compound of the formula (I):
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="22" wi="71" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein X is a chlorine or bromine atom or a methoxyl, methylthio or alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms; Y is a -CHR<Sub>1</Sub>-CH<Sub>2</Sub>- or -CR,=CH- group where R, is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and A is a CHOH or CO group, and a topically effective pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, possess local topical anti-inflammatory activity, and possess systemic anti-inflammatory activity when administered topically.</p> |
