PURPOSE:To obtain an elastomer having excellent vulcanizability, mechanical properties and durability, and useful as automobile parts, etc., by copolymerizing a carboxylic acid vinyl ester, ethylene, an alkoxyalkyl acrylate and a maleic acid monoalkyl ester at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective copolymerized elastomer can be poduced by copolymerizing (A) 10-60pts.(wt.) of the carboxylic acid vinyl ester of formula I (R is 1-4C alkyl), (B) 5-25pts. of ethylene of formula II, (C) 47-95pts. of the alkoxyalkyl acrylate of formula III (R1 is 1-4C alkylene; R2 is 1-4C alkyl) and (D) 1-20pts. of the maleic acid monoalkyl ester of formula IV (R3 is 1-4C alkyl) and/or the maleic acid monoalkoxyalkyl ester of formula V (R4 is 1-4C alkylene; R5 is 1-4C alkyl). |
