PURPOSE:To maintain the taking-up tension of a thread which forms the innermost layer part of a package within the equal range to a normal taking-up tension turning a turret after the speed of the complete winding side bobbin holder is increased when thread is to be replaced. CONSTITUTION:When a prescribed amount of a thread Y is taken-up and a completely wound bobbin P is formed, the control for the peripheral speed by a contact roller 7 is suspended, and the speed of a bobbin holder 1 on the complete winding side is increased by a predetermined rate. Prior to the speed increase, a bobbin holder 2 on the vacant bobbin side is in driven state, and a normal taking-up speed is achieved. After the speed of the complete winding side bobbin is increased, the fixation of a turret 3 is released, and the turret is revolved. Then, the package P is separated from the contact roller 7, and a vacant bobbin B revolves in contact with the contact roller 7, and thread is replaced. In this case, the speed reduction of the contact roller 7 is compensated by the speed increase of the bobbin holder 1, and when the thread contacts with the vacant bobbin B on the bobbin holder 2, nearly equal peripheral speed is set, and the taking-up tension is set within a proper range. |
