Packaging foil product for packaging of paper rolls or the like in a consumer package with a handle. The packaging foil product comprises a band-like film 1, the edge widths 1a, 1b of the film band being folded towards one another over the middle part of the film band leaving an intermediate gap, essentially over equal distances, such that the edge widths cover a considerable part of the middle part, which remains in between. At the one edge of the film band folded in this way, an elongated handle strip 2 is formed by joining together the layers of film, which are placed one on top of another, and the grip openings 3 or the opening elements are also formed on the handle strip at an interval from one another equal to the distance between the package units. <IMAGE>
