In television cameras, there is the risk that the picture becomes blurred due to an unwanted movement of the housing. According to the invention, acceleration sensors (4, 5) are provided at the camera housing (3). From the output voltages of these sensors, a manipulated variable is obtained which influences the scanning of the target (1) in such a manner that any blurring becomes less noticeable in the video signal generated.
