PURPOSE:To produce efficiently a pressure hose excellent in flexibility, by using a mandrel consisting of a round rod and a covering layer that covers the round rod and acts as a core tube, and carrying out special operations. CONSTITUTION:A covering layer 2 of a polyamide resin having a thickness of 0.5mm. or less is put around the outer circumference of a round rod 1 of a thermoplastic resin with them not joined to prepare a thermoplastic resin mandrel 3, and an adhesive is applied on the outer circumference of the mandrel 3. The surface of the mandrel 3 is covered with braided fiber 7 and a rubber 6 or a thermoplastic resin, which form a sheath tube integral with the mandrel 3, thereby resulting in the item 5 comprising the sheath tube integral with the mandrel 3. Then the round rod 1 is drawn from the item 5 with the covering layer 2 left as a core tube attached to the inside of the sheath tube. Thus a flexible pressure hose is produced. The flexible pressure hose is excellent in mechanical properties such as strength, chemical properties such as chemical resistance, flexibility, resistance to permeability of Freon gases, etc., which properties are favorably balanced, and is useful as a hose for transporting gases. |
