The exercise frame has a shaft (6) fitted with friction plates (10,11) which form a plate brake producing a rotary resistance to movement. One part of the plates (10) is attached to the shaft (6), and the remainder are connected to the frame (3). Friction forces are stagelessly adjustable by a regulater (6) which, via pressure components, transmits adjustment forces to the plates. The pressure components, friction plates (10,11), and bearing (7) comprise a removably fitted unit with the shaft (3). |
