The present invention relates to the producing in all desired dimensions of bas-reliefs from the art of the Pharaohs available to those skilled in the art, either in the original state, or in the form of a photograph or complete drawing. The invention is firstly characterised by the extracting, from a flat drawing or a photograph, of the relief of the masterpiece, which relief is determined by comparative calculation of the projected shadow relative to a known dimension. When this calculation has been completed, the person skilled in the art draws or engraves on a block of plaster the original bas-relief, and then casts onto the latter a flexible silicon-containing substance to form a matrix. This matrix constitutes an essential characteristic of the invention, into which matrix an inorganic mixture based on carbonate, sulphate, lime and silica is poured, in order accurately to reproduce the Pharaonic bas-relief initially sculptured to produce a solid mass similar to white marble. The present invention is used chiefly to reproduce all bas-reliefs of the art of the Pharaohs. <IMAGE>
