A folding frame for a tent overcomes the various disadvantages of a conventional tent which requires various accessories, such as supports and pegs, and consequently presents difficulties in transportation and storage, and also various requires a cumbersome operation when pitching or striking the tent. The folding frame for a tent includes ribs (A), (B), (C), (D) which are each formed by bending a piece of stainless steel wire into a relatively long belt shape, and whose intermediate portions have reinforcing members (e), (f), (g), (h), respectively, wound around them. The ribs (A), (B), (C), (D) are connected together by connecting members (4), (5), (6) which constitute joints (L), (M), (N), respectively. The connected ribs are inserted into rib-reception bags (8), (8)', (8)'', (8)''' made of tent canvas (1) in such a manner that the joints are exposed. The folding frame for a tent is constituted by the ribs and tent canvas which are integrated which each other, and when the tent is struck, the connected ribs can be folded up into a W-shape. The folding frame is, therefore, portable and convenient to transport and store. In addition, the folding frame enables the pitching and striking of the tent to be effected extremely speedily and easily. The folding frame can be applied to either a tubular tent or a dome-shaped tent. |
