The invention relates to a harvesting appliance having a harvesting device which is located at the end of a telescopic arm and which is capable of grasping and cutting off the stalk of a fruit to be harvested and of holding the cut-off fruit in order to move it to a repository. The harvesting device is mounted on a traction machine in order to allow movement across the field to be harvested.
