By virtue of the statically determined bearing of the husking tube and of the other components required for the longitudinal and swivelling advance of the husking element, which components are, for this purpose, usually constructed as rotary components which are to be produced in a lightweight and precise fashion, stiff movement and blockages are prevented and easily moving, flexurally strong and rotationally rigid guidance of the husking element is achieved without play. Both advance devices are freely adjustable and can be programmed by diverse control facilities for all husking requirements. This permits husking in any desired individual layers. The large diameter of the husking tube and the multiple conveying gas inlet into the husking element increase the efficiency and the operating reliability with respect to blockages. The supporting housing, which is of short construction, and the elastic connection to the conveying line result in particularly small inertial forces and retaining forces on the centrifuge. By virtue of the easy accessibility of the bearings, seals, transmission components and control devices, the husking device is particularly maintenance-friendly.
