Sunroof for vehicles, having a roof opening which can be optionally closed or at least partially opened by means of a cover. Situated under the cover is a sliding roofliner which is displaceably guided along guide rails by way of sliding pieces arranged on each side of the sliding roofliner. The at least one sliding piece on at least one side of the sliding roofliner can be adjusted relative to the associated guide rail and/or the sliding roofliner in such a manner that with the guide rails held at a fixed mutual transverse spacing the sliding pieces can be brought into or out of engagement with the respectively associated guide rails for the purpose of fitting or respectively removing the sliding roofliner (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
